City Of San Jose, U.S. Department Of Energy Introduce Green Vision Clean Energy Showcase

The City of San Jose and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced the opening of the San Jose Green Vision Clean Energy Showcase, an interactive innovation center housing installations of clean energy technologies that are available on the market today and in the future.

Designed as a knowledge hub for clean energy education and awareness, the showcase will give visitors hands-on experience with advanced wind, solar and energy efficiency technologies, provide information required to make informed decisions about clean energy options, and further community participation in San Jose's Green Vision.

The showcase is organized by the City of San Jose Environmental Services Department, with the site provided by the San Jose Redevelopment Agency and site interconnection by PG&E. The project is funded through donations and a DOE Solar Market Transformation Special Project grant through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The showcase is designed to advance key goals of San Jose's Green Vision as it looks to educate consumers about clean energy solutions, advance available resources for green collar workforce training, and provide vital training and education for city students.
