Women of Wind Energy (WoWE) has announced that Dany St-Pierre and Raheleh Folkerts will join the organization’s board of directors.
“As we begin a new year here at Women of Wind Energy, we are thrilled to add these two remarkable women to our board,” says WoWE Executive Director Kristen Graf. “Their valuable experience and expertise across the renewable energy sector will help guide WoWE on its mission to promote the education, professional development and advancement of women to achieve a strong diversified workforce and support a robust renewable energy economy.”
St-Pierre is president of Cleantech Expansion LLC, which advises executives and investors who desire to expand their renewable energy business to new markets. She is also part of the leadership team of the WoWE’s Chicago chapter. She has years of experience working for large global corporations involved in transportation and power generation, namely Bombardier Inc. and Siemens AG.
Folkerts is the marketing director for Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES), bringing more than 15 years of experience in corporate and non-profit marketing, communications, public relations and event planning.
Raheleh’s primary focus is to increase thought leadership eminence, client engagement, and brand awareness to help drive business results for RES in the Americas. She develops and implements the strategic marketing and communications plans to achieve RES’ corporate objectives.
In her previous position at RES, Raheleh leveraged her sales acumen as a business development manager and worked on proposal responses and provided competitor and client analysis for RES’ third-party construction business. Prior to working at RES, she worked for a publishing group and teacher’s organization in Texas.
