Wind turbine workers will be featured in an upcoming TV show: The Weather Channel's new program, ‘Turbine Cowboys,’ follows workers who risk their lives building, maintaining and repairing wind turbines.
The show follows two teams: the would-be wind techs from their ‘boot-camp’ training through their first year in the field, and the seasoned veterans who are still challenged every day. They all face extreme weather, dizzying heights and possible electrocution.
The show is part of the Weather Channel's new anthology series called "Braving the Elements," which explores the lives of workers impacted by extreme weather. "Turbine Cowboys," produced by BCII, premieres in April.
