Vestas Wins 52 MW Wind Order In Turkey

Erciyas Celik Boru A.S., a Turkey-based manufacturer and exporter of spiral-welded steel pipes, ordered 16 V112-3.3 MW wind turbines from Vestas.

The 52 MW Kavakli RES project will be Erciyas Celik Boru's first wind farm and built in the southern province of Balikesir, Turkey. The Vestas contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind power plant, including a five-year AOM4000 full-scope availability agreement.

The wind turbines for the Kavakli RES wind farm are scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2014, with commissioning expected by the second quarter of next year.
