Vestas says it has received a 59 MW order from Exelon Wind for 33 V100-1.8 MW wind turbines, which will be used for the Harvest II Wind Project in Huron County, Mich.
The contract includes the delivery and commissioning of the turbines, along with a 10-year service and maintenance agreement. The contract also includes Vestas' Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 maintenance program, which guarantees turbine availability and all planned and unplanned maintenance services, as well as continuous remote monitoring and surveillance of the project via the VestasOnline SCADA system.
All of the blades, towers and nacelles for this project will be built at Vestas' manufacturing facilities in Colorado. Delivery is scheduled for mid-2012, and commissioning is expected in late 2012.
