Vestas has signed a five-year service agreement with ENMAX Energy Corp. for the Kettles Hill Wind Farm.
The project, located near Pincher Creek, Alberta, includes 35 of Vestas' V80-1.8 MW wind turbines. The contract for the 63 MW site includes Vestas' Active Output Management 5000 service option.
The first phase of the Kettles Hill Wind Farm was built in 2006 with five V80-1.8 MW turbines, and the second phase of the project, which added 30 V80-1.8 MW turbines, was completed in 2007. ENMAX Energy, through a wholly owned subsidiary, acquired the facility in 2008.
