Vestas Receives Wind Turbine Order From AES

Vestas has received an order from global power company AES Corp. for delivery of 52 units of the V90-3.0 MW wind turbine. The contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a five-year service and maintenance agreement.

Delivery is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2008, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.

‘We are proud that AES has chosen Vestas as its partner for this large wind energy project, and we look forward to continuing our fruitful cooperation with them,’ says Hans Jorn Rieks, president of Vestas Central Europe A/S.
