Vestas has received two orders totaling 100 MW from Ningxia-based Hanas New Energy, a regional natural gas supplier in China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
According to Vestas, the orders consist of 50 V100-2.0 MW turbine models that are built on the 2 MW platform. The turbines will be installed in the Yanchi wind farm.
The orders include the supply and delivery of turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, and a standard two-year service agreement. Notably, Vestas says the order does not include towers. The wind turbines are expected to begin arriving in the second quarter of 2014.
According to Vestas, Hanas intends to build up to 1 GW of installed capacity in northwestern China by 2015.
