Vestas Receives Turbine Order For 33 MW Danish Wind Farm

Long-time Vestas customer European Energy has placed a 33 MW turbine order for the Ulvemosen project, to be financed in collaboration with Danish pension fund Sampension.

Located in Varde, Denmark, the Ulvemosen project will feature 10 of Vestas' V117-3.3 MW wind turbines, and the deal includes a 15-year Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 service contract. Vestas expects to complete delivery and commissioning of the turbines in the fourth quarter of this year.

Ulvemosen will be Sampension's first direct investment in wind power, with the pension fund financing and owning the project and European Energy operating it.Â

"Vestas is extremely pleased that European Energy has again chosen to partner with us and to further build up wind energy in Denmark," says Klaus Steen Mortensen, president of Vestas Northern Europe. ‘Denmark is an important and growing market for Vestas, and this project will help keep our production and construction teams busy."
