Vestas says it has received an order for 24 of its V90-2.0 MW wind turbines from China's largest developer, Longyuan.

This latest order follows another deal with Longyuan for the Qiulu wind park, signed earlier this year. The turbines will be installed in the Hanjiang Baihe wind park in Putian County, Fujian Province.

The Baihe wind park is located 12 km from the coast in an area with an annual average wind speed of only seven meters per second at 80 meters high, but with occasional strong winds. Vestas says the V90-2.0 MW addresses this need because the turbine is designed for low-wind conditions but can withstand strong winds.

The order includes the supply of the wind turbines, installation supervision and commissioning, a Vestas Online SCADA system, and a three-year service and maintenance agreement.
