Turbine maker Vestas has received an order calling for 56 V117-3.3 MW turbines for a wind farm located in the Atacama region of Chile.
According to Vestas, the contract includes supply and installation of the wind turbines and a five-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of next year, and commissioning is expected by the end of 2016.
The order brings the cmpany's total order intake to 3.6 GW this year.
