Vestas says it has received a 50 MW wind turbine order from China-based wind energy developer Longyuan. The order consists of 25 units of Vestas' V90-2.0 MW wind turbine.
The turbines will be installed at the Qiulu wind farm, located near Putian, Fujian province, an area that experiences lower-than-average wind speeds but occasional strong gusts.
The order includes the supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, a Vestas Online SCADA system, and a service and maintenance agreement. Delivery is scheduled to take place in the third quarter.
