Vestas has won a 105 MW order from a consortium led by Innowind, an affiliate of EDF EN, for three wind power plants in South Africa.
The contract comprises the supply, installation and commissioning of 35 V112-3.0 MW wind turbines, along with a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, full-scope civil and electrical work, and a 10-year full-scope service agreement.
Turbine delivery for the Chaba, Waainek and Grassridge projects is planned to start mid-2014, with commissioning expected to begin in the third quarter of next year.
