Unimacts Opens New Logistics, Operation Center For Wind Customers

Unimacts, a global industrial manufacturing and supply-chain, third-party logistics company, says it has opened a new logistics and operation center in Brande, Denmark, to support its wind customers.

According to the company, the new facility in Brande is strategically located near wind companies Siemens, Senvion, Nordex and Vestas. In the U.S., Unimacts says it has locations on both coasts and has a logistics and operation center in Hutchison, Kan. – just 3 miles from one of its customers.

In addition to warehousing, the new logistics and operation center will provide quality assurance, cargo inspections, repairs, light kitting, reverse logistics and coordinating port storage, if necessary.

Unimacts says it has three guiding principles that set the tone for partnership success, the first of which is co-location. Beyond the obvious logistics savings of locating its logistics and operation center within miles of customers, Unimacts has found that this allows for better, more fluid communication.

“We are pleased to open another strategically located logistics and operation center. Unimacts has now improved logistics efficiency for a number of customers using co-location as one of many powerful tools,” says the company’s Mathew Arnold. “Unimacts has a presence on four continents and continues to grow.”
