Norway's Crown Prince Haakon officially opened the 317 MW Sheringham Shoal offshore wind farm, located off the coast of Norfolk, U.K.
According to Scira Offshore Energy, the owners of the project, the offshore wind farm commenced operations four years after approval by the U.K. government and three years after the initial construction works began.
With the project completed, the U.K. now has more than 2.5GW of operational offshore wind energy capacity.
