Turn Energy Maintenance, an operations and maintenance (O&M) and technician service provider based in Austin, Texas, is currently in the process of implementing International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality-control standards and plans to gain full ISO certification before the end of the year.
According to Turn Energy Maintenance, prospective customers have expressed concern over quality control in regards to third-party execution of O&M and technician services. The ISO 9001 certification should help alleviate these concerns and will address field operations and services as well as environmental, health and safety concerns.
The company is also seeking OSHAS 18000 safety and ISO 14000 environmental certifications. OSHAS is an international assessment specification for occupational health and safety management systems.
