Veteran wind industry lawyer Tony Orr is launching a private law practice on Aug. 1. The Law Office of Tony Orr, located in Rose Valley, Pa., will represent wind power and other companies in commercial transactions, dispute resolution and back-office corporate functions.
Orr has represented three wind turbine manufacturers as in-house counsel: Senvion (formerly REpower), Suzlon and Gamesa. He says he has counseled the companies in connection with more than 3 GW of turbine supply and operations and maintenance contracts, supply chain, logistics and service subcontracts, dispute resolution, insurance, human resources and other legal issues.
His move into private practice comes after a five-year tenure as general counsel to Senvion USA Corp. He concurrently served as general counsel to Senvion's sister company, Suzlon Wind Energy Co., during a portion of his time with Senvion.
"I'm excited to share my industry knowledge and collaborative approach with the wider U.S. wind power community," says Orr. "I see a great opportunity to help both new and established players grow their businesses by providing top-quality legal support at extremely competitive rates."
