Texas Breaks Another Wind Energy Integration Record

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) says it achieved a new wind power integration record of 8.638 GW on Dec. 25 at 3:11 p.m.

This equates to 25.71% wind energy integration, as the peak load was 39.847 GW. Of the 8.638 GW, over 6.6 GW came from wind farms in West Texas, and 1.3 GW came from sites on the Texas coast.
