Sweden-based Leine & Linde is expanding its heavy-duty encoder offerings in the North American wind industry.

Specifically, WECS Electric Supply – a products distributor for Leine & Linde – has opened two new offices in Oklahoma City and Des Moines, Iowa. The company will continue to maintain large inventory warehouses in California and Texas.

WECS has been providing components and services to the alternative energy industry for more than 30 years. The distributor says it has a strong focus on supporting operations and maintenance crews for wind power.

“We sell technology,” explains Bruce Hammett, WECS Electric Supply’s president. “And when Leine & Linde products help us provide solutions to maintain or upgrade a wind turbine, that’s good for both of us.”
