Suzlon has received the notice to proceed from CLP India, an investor-owned power business, for a 100.8 MW wind power project.

The project, located at Tejuva in Rajasthan, will comprise 48 units of Suzlon's S97- 2.1 MW wind turbines featuring doubly fed induction generator technology. Upon completion, this project will boost CLP India's wind power portfolio to close to 1 GW, almost one-third of the company's entire portfolio in India.

"This contract is another milestone for our business in India," comments Tulsi Tanti, chairman of Suzlon. "Through our comprehensive capabilities across wind energy value chain and end-to-end solutions, we will assist CLP India in further expanding their wind energy footprint in India."
