Suzlon Wind Energy Corp., the North American subsidiary of Suzlon Energy Ltd., has received an order for the community-based Grant County Wind Farm in Minnesota.
Developed by Juhl Wind, the project consists of 10 S88 2.1 Suzlon MW wind turbines, and at full capacity is expected to produce 21 MW. The Grant County Wind Farm is a community-based energy development project and is partially owned by local farmers.
The project is interconnected with Otter Tail Power Co. and Northern States Power (NSP) is purchasing the clean energy. The Grant County Wind Farm will join Otter Tail's existing 45 MW renewable energy on the grid.
