Spider, a division of SafeWorks LLC, says it has supplied its modular suspended access platforms to the Lankford Painting Co. for use in tower and blade repair and inspection on Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbine towers at four different sites in Texas.
Spider says its modular, 360-degree blade-access platform is simple to install and can be easily reconfigured to meet simple blade-inspection and tower-access needs. It breaks down into pickup-truck loads, and relies on a field-tested, wide, stable platform, according to Spider.
The entire system is available for purchase or rent from 25 locations in the Americas, with after-sale service support.
