Southwest Windpower To Open New Location

0

Flagstaff, Ariz.-based Southwest Windpower, a manufacturer of distributed-generation wind turbines, has announced it is opening an additional location in Broomfield, Colo., in order to focus on the development of a wind testing site and commercial sales.

The new office is part of the company's shift toward providing renewable energy systems worldwide for commercial and industrial markets such as telecommunications, village electrification and other large multiple-unit projects.

The Broomfield engineering facility and sales team will focus on product development for the specific technical needs of these types of sites. Previously, the company focused on smaller-scale applications for residences or small businesses.

The company expects to have the new location staffed by year-end.
