Broomfield, Colo.-based Southwest Windpower says its small wind turbine has received approval under UL 6142, Standard for Small Turbines.
According to Southwest, the Skystream is the first small wind turbine to conform with the standard, which was adopted to comply with National Electrical Code electrical safety standards, UL says.
