Solaya Energy, a Woburn, Mass.-based renewable energy company that develops, designs, constructs and operates wind and solar power installations, will develop a utility scale wind turbine to supply electrical power to the municipal facilities in Scituate, Mass.
The 80-meter 1.5 MW wind turbine will be located adjacent to the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Solaya Energy will design, construct and finance the wind turbine and all associated equipment. The town of Scituate will lease the land to Solaya to erect the turbine and will purchase power from Solaya, who will operate and maintain the turbine.
