PPM Energy, ScottishPower's U.S. energy business, has officially completed the Shiloh Wind Power Plant in Solano County, Calif.

The wind farm uses 100 of GE's 1.5 MW turbines for a total capacity output of 150 MW. The turbines are spread across about 6,800 acres of active grazing land leased from 26 local landowners.

According to PPM Energy, the owner of the project, the power produced from Shiloh will go to California customers through power purchase agreements to the City of Palo Alto Utilities, Modesto Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric.
