Siemens Energy says its wind energy training facilities in Denmark, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S. have been certified by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO).
The international industry certificate allows Siemens to educate and train wind energy workers according to the highest industry standards for basic safety training. The standard for basic safety training encompasses first aid, manual handling, fire awareness, working at heights and, for offshore workers, sea survival training.
Siemens' wind training centers are located in Brande, Denmark; Bremen, Germany; and Newcastle, U.K. The company's U.S. location is currently in the process of moving into new facilities in Orlando, Fla.
