Siemens Energy has finalized its contract with Pattern Energy for the 265 MW Ocotillo Wind project, located in Southern California.
The wind farm is currently under construction, and most of the project will be placed into commercial operation this year, with a portion going online in the first half of 2013. The scope of supply encompasses the delivery, technical field assistance and commissioning of the 112 Siemens SWT-2.3-108 wind turbines, including a two-year service and maintenance contract.
The majority of the wind turbine components for this project are manufactured in the U.S., Siemens notes.
The Ocotillo Wind project is Siemens' 10th project completed, in development or under contract with Pattern Energy.
