EDF Energies Nouvelles says that commercial operation of the 150 MW Shiloh II wind farm has begun. Located in Solano County, Calif., the Shiloh II wind farm consists of 75 2 MW REpower turbines. The power will be sold under a 20-year power purchase agreement to Pacific Gas & Electric Co.
‘The financing of the Shiloh II facility, which was arranged in challenging financial conditions, evidences the quality and low-risk profile of the projects developed by EDF Energies Nouvelles,’ says David Corchia of EDF Energies Nouvelles.
During the construction phase, enXco, the U.S. subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, secured a project financing agreement with Nord LB, in partnership with CIC, Dexia and Societe Generale, as well as an agreement with JP Morgan, Wells Fargo and New York Life, which now holds a minority interest in the wind farm.
