Senvion To Supply 27 Wind Turbines At France-Based Wind Farms

Turbine manufacturer Senvion says it will install and maintain 27 wind turbines at four France-based wind farms being developed by European supplier ENERTRAG.

According to Senvion, the company's MM100 2 MW wind turbines with a hub height of 100 meters will power three of the wind farms. By capturing wind energy on taller towers, the MM100 machine suits France's low wind sites, Senvion notes.Â

The fourth wind farm, now under construction in the Champagne-Ardenne region, features nine Senvion MM92 wind turbines, each with a rated power of 2.05 MW, a hub height of 100 meters and a rotor diameter of 92.5 meters. Commissioning is planned for June.
