RES Americas Launches Energy Storage Project In Ohio

Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES) has launched its Willey Battery Storage project in Ohio.

RES developed and will construct the 6 MW energy storage project that will be owned by Sumitomo Corp. The project will include three containers of lithium ion batteries manufactured by Toshiba and three Parker Hannifin inverters.

The Willey Battery Storage project will be used to provide frequency regulation service to grid operator PJM. RES Americas will also supply its RESolve management system.


Including the Willey Battery Storage project, RES has 55.6MW and 27.3MWh of energy storage either in operation or under construction.
