REpower Systems SE, a subsidiary of the Suzlon Group, notes that it has installed its 5,000th wind turbine.
The REpower 3.2M114 turbine was the second of five that will be erected at a public wind farm near Buchen, Germany. Through these 5,000 turbines, REpower says it has installed more than 9.6 GW of capacity worldwide so far.
The company adds that the German domestic market is making a strong contribution to its business. In the first half of 2013, REpower installed more than 200 MW in the country.
