REpower, EDF EN Conclude Framework Agreement For U.S., Europe

Wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems AG and EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN), a subsidiary of European utility company EDF, have concluded contracts for the delivery of wind turbines with a total rated power of 690 MW for projects in Europe and the U.S., of which 400 MW have already been agreed upon and 290 MW were fixed as a further expected option.

REpower's 2 MW wind turbines from the MM series are included in the agreement. Installation is scheduled for 2009 and 2010.

The contracting party of REpower in the U.S. is wind project developer enXco, a subsidiary of EDF EN. REpower and enXo are collaborating on the Goodnoe Hills wind project in Washington.
