Alstom has announced that the 33 MW Landes de Couesme wind farm has been inaugurated in Brittany, France.

The project is the first wind farm in France to use Alstom's ECO 110 3 MW wind turbines, which are 145 meters tall with a 110-meter rotor diameter and are designed especially for Class II winds and densely populated areas.

In March 2011, Alstom signed a contract with GDF SUEZ Group subsidiary Eole Generation – which owns the wind farm – for the assembly, delivery and installation of 11 ECO 110 3 MW wind turbines. Alstom will also perform the operations and maintenance services at the wind farm for five years.
