Plambeck New Energy USA Inc., a subsidiary of Germany-based wind farm developer PNE WIND AG, has announced a joint-venture agreement for the future cooperation with the Canadian company BCP Renewable Energy Ltd.

The companies will participate in a request for proposals (RFP) for wind farms in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. In Saskatchewan, wind farm projects are tendered by the provincial electrical utility company, SaskPower. An RFP is anticipated in the near future, according to Plambeck.

‘In Canada, too, we are expecting a strong expansion of wind energy in the coming years,’ says Kelly Lloyd, general manager of Plambeck New Energy USA. ‘Here, wind energy is still at the start of its development, and with our Canadian and international experience, we expect to develop utility-grade wind projects for SaskPower.’

PNE WIND implements onshore and offshore wind projects and has built 92 wind farms with a total nominal output of 770 MW.
