Alliant Energy has awarded Outland Energy Services a three-year contract to provide scheduled maintenance services and remote monitoring at the 68 MW Cedar Ridge wind farm in Fond du Lac County, Wis., Outland has announced.

The wind farm is owned by Alliant Energy's wholly owned subsidiary, Wisconsin Power and Light Co.

The wind farm began commercial operation in December 2008. Outland will begin performing scheduled maintenance in the first quarter of 2012. Each of the Vestas V82 wind turbines has a nameplate capacity of 1.65 MW, and together, the 41 turbines produce enough renewable energy to power approximately 17,000 Wisconsin homes each year, Outland notes.
