Burlington, Vt.-based NRG Systems, a manufacturer of wind measurement equipment for the global wind energy industry, has received the 2009 Best Places To Work Award in the small/medium category from Vermont Business Magazine.
‘The nice thing about this award is that it comes from our employees,’ says Jan Blittersdorf, NRG Systems president and CEO. ‘The survey says that our employees think this is a great place to work. For me as an employer, this means the most it could because it's from them.’
NRG Systems has been recognized nationally for its workplace best practices and a unique compensation package that reflects its commitment to environmental stewardship and fairness.
The Best Places To Work award is based in part on an application completed by each participating company, but the bulk of a company's score is based on survey responses from its employees. Ninety-four percent of NRG Systems' employees participated in the survey, helping the company reach the No. 1 spot after ranking No. 3 for the past two years.
