Two Northwind 100 wind turbines were installed in Savoonga, Alaska, for the Alaska Village Electric Cooperative (AVEC).
Upcoming projects in Chevak and Gambell will bring AVEC's fleet to a total of 17 erected turbines within the next six months.

Two Alaskans, Julius Bell and Larry Lake, recently completed Northwind's wind technician training program in Barre, Vt., and played a large role in the erection and installation of these units, according to the company.
