Nordex SE will deliver and install seven N100/2500 turbines for STEAG New Energies, an independent power producer that is building a wind farm southwest of Paris.
Per the agreement, turbine installation at the Cormainville wind farm will begin in January 2016. The 17.5 MW farm is expected to go into operation by the summer of 2016. The contract also includes a long-term service contract.Â
According to Nordex, the N100/2500 wind turbines have been designed for medium wind speeds and will yield an above-average capacity factor of around 34%.
STEAG New Energies, which operates wind farms in France, Germany and Poland, has previously used Nordex turbines to power its Brandenburg, Germany, wind farm.
