Nordex To Provide Turbines For 39 MW Eber Wind Farm

Nordex has received an order from Erdem Holding A.S. to deliver and install 10 N131/3900 turbines for the new Eber wind farm in Anatolia.

The manufacturer says the deal also includes a premium service agreement covering at least 15 years.

As reported, the Eber site is located 250 kilometers to the southwest of Ankara, near the city of Afyonkarahisar in western Anatolia. At this altitude, the average annual wind speed is 7.8 m/s. The N131/3900 is especially designed for sites with medium to low wind speeds. Nordex says it will be supplying the turbines on 84-meter tubular steel towers.

Installation is scheduled for spring 2018, and once operational, the 39 MW wind farm is expected to produce 136,000 MWh of clean electricity.

Eber is now the fourth wind project Erdem has contracted with Nordex, as the company has been diversifying into the field of renewables. Notably, Erdem adds that the Eber project is the first one to use Nordex’s N131/3900 turbines.
