Nordex has secured a 62.7 MW order from Eneco Wind BV for Generation Delta turbines in the Netherlands.
The turbine maker will supply the Delfzijl-Noord wind farm with 19 of its N100/3300 machines. The project will be built 1.5 km from the town of Delfzijl, where Nordex notes wind conditions are rough. However, the company says its N100/3300 Generation Delta turbine, with a nominal output of 3.3 MW and 100-meter rotor, fits the challenging conditions well.
The project is slated to be commissioned by March 2015, and the order also includes a 15-year service contract.
