Nordex Exits Offshore Wind Business

0

Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has announced it is exiting the offshore wind business after the company was unable to finalize an agreement with a joint-venture partner.

Nordex had been seeking an offshore partner since last summer, and the company planned to transfer all of its offshore activities to that joint venture. Because the companies failed to agree on the terms of the joint venture, Nordex says it is discontinuing its entire offshore business unit.

The company aims to sell the assets of its offshore unit to other interested parties in the short to medium term. The employees of the unit will be assigned to other Nordex business units.

Nordex says it will continue to focus on and continue to expand its core business of onshore wind turbines.
