Nordex will supply 16 N100/2500 wind turbines at Exelon's 40 MW Fourmile Wind Energy Project, located in northwestern Maryland.

According to Nordex, the proven Generation Gamma N100/2500 turbine, which is certified for wind-class IEC 2, provides an optimum yield for the project's moderate wind resource. Additionally, given that winter temperatures frequently fall far below -10 degrees C, the turbine manufacturer will supply Exelon with its turbine cold-climate package.

Nordex is no stranger to Exelon. The company's N117/2400 wind turbines power the Beebe Wind Project, located in Michigan. Further, Nordex says it will supply an additional 21 wind turbines for Beebe's second phase.
