Todd Coleman, deputy executive director for the Port of Vancouver, has recently been appointed to the Washington state Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) as a representative of the state's public ports. The TIB, created by the Washington state Legislature to oversee state investment in quality local transportation projects, distributes grant funding to cities and counties for transportation projects.
‘The Transportation Improvement Board is critical to the transportation infrastructure of many communities in our state,’ Coleman says. ‘Without this program, many communities would not be able to meet the infrastructure needs for the safe movement of people and freight.’
Coleman joined the Port of Vancouver in 2001 as director of facilities, and in July 2005 was appointed to his current position, where he is responsible for overseeing all development issues and implementation of the port's strategic plan. Prior to joining the port, he was a partner at Coleman & Davido Engineering Consultants in Estacada, Ore. He also held positions with the Chelan County Public Utilities District in Wenatchee, Wash.
