A new group has been created to serve as an umbrella organization for energy and cleantech businesses.
The group, Advanced Energy Economy (AEE), advocates for advanced energy, which includes any solution that moves toward the goal of energy that is affordable, abundant and secure. AEE says it does not favor specific technologies, but rather those that provide benefits in the field and in the marketplace.
The group says it will develop, strengthen and connect state and regional cleantech business organizations. Its membership includes state and regional associations covering nine states and about 700 companies.
Among the AEE's board of directors are former Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter and former U.S. Secretary of State George Schultz.
