AES Corp. subsidiary AES Wind Generation has appointed Natural Power as the owner's engineer for the Sixpenny Wood wind farm.

Natural Power will serve as the construction design and management coordinator on behalf of AES Wind Generation, and will prepare the health and safety file, as well as comment on construction method statements. The consultancy will also deploy a clerk of works, who will be responsible for the on-site monitoring of the project's progress and quality of the works, as well as for reporting on any potential on-site health and safety issues, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with the planning conditions.

The project, which will be located in East Riding of Yorkshire in the U.K., will comprise 10 REpower 2.05 MW wind turbines. Construction on the wind farm is expected to commence in February.
