Global investment and advisory firm Babcock & Brown has agreed to purchase 118 Mitsubishi 2.4 MW MWT95/2.4 wind turbines for delivery in 2008. The new units will be installed at Babcock & Brown projects in the Southwest.

‘Babcock & Brown has challenged us at every step to deliver better technologies, faster and more dependably than our competitors,’ says Bob Rugh, vice president of Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas' (MPS) Newport Beach, Calif.-based wind turbine group.

According to MPS, the MWT95/2.4 is the company's most advanced production wind turbine design, which incorporates streamlined blade and nacelle profiles and innovations in automatic speed, blade pitch and orientation controls.
