Law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has advised EIG Global Energy Partners in the sale of a 50% interest of an onshore and offshore wind farm in the U.K.

The buyer was a consortium comprising investment funds managed by BlackRock and U.K. Green Investment Bank Offshore Wind Farm.

Glens of Foudland is an onshore wind farm (26 MW) in Aberdeenshire, and the Lynn and Inner Dowsing offshore wind farms (194 MW) are located off the coast of North East Lincolnshire.

The enterprise value is approximately 423 million British pounds, says Milbank.

The cross-practice Milbank team was co-led out of the firm’s London office by John Dewar and Stuart Harray, energy and corporate partners.

The team also included Daniel Wayte and Sarah Ullathorne, corporate senior associates; James Mackay, corporate associate; and Matthew Mortimer, special counsel.
