Noble Environmental Power, a wind energy developer based in Essex, Conn., has announced the construction of the Noble Thumb I Windpark in Michigan.
The project is expected to generate 69 MW of energy, using 46 GE 1.5 MW turbines. Construction on the project is being performed by RMT WindConnect, based in Madison, Wis.
Noble estimates that the project will create approximately 85 new construction jobs and will result in $3.5 million in property tax payments over 20 years.
