Escondido, Calif.-based enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, has promoted Mark Tholke to Southwest regional director. In this role, Tholke is responsible for managing the company's renewable energy development program in California, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada, including managing land acquisition, permitting, power marketing and shepherding projects through the interconnection process. He joined enXco in 2006 as regional project development manager and will continue to be based out of enXco's regional office in San Ramon, Calif.
‘I am delighted to see Mark taking on greater responsibility in the company,’ says Tristan Grimbert, president and CEO of enXco. ‘Since day one, he has fit perfectly in the 'doer' corporate culture of enXco. His wit, his method and his commitment have made, and will continue to make, an impact in the organization.’
Previously, Tholke held positions of vice president for business development at Eurus Energy, Commercial Leader at GE Wind Energy and Western region marketing manager at Green Mountain Energy. He has a joint MBA/MS in environmental science from the University of Michigan and undergraduate degrees in environmental science and economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
